The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia employs around 110 staff members in Switzerland and in six branch offices abroad who are dedicated to promoting Swiss arts and culture.

Insights into the processes at a national arts promotion institution with international reach
Tasks in cultural, political and multilingual contexts in Switzerland and abroad
Attractive, diverse and world-spanning range of topics and insights into support activities
Working as part of a dynamic, multilingual team in the Global Network & International Affairs Sector
Remuneration based on Federal administration guidelines: CHF 2'560 per month (for an 80% position) with a pro rata 13th monthly salary, 5 weeks holidays a year, good social security contributions (e.g. extra-mandatory child allowance)
Pro rata contribution to a Swiss railway half fare card («Halbtax») or a GA travelcard («Generalabonnement»)

Providing support in the preparation of Pro Helvetia’s calls for applications
Participating in the processing of applications (residencies, global research trips, etc) and the correspondence with applicants
Supporting the Sector in collecting information and preparing its dissemination via various communication channels
Collaborating in research tasks
Handling administrative work and assisting in the organisation of workshops and events
Planning and coordinating cross-sector topics
University degree (ideally in one of the following fields: art and culture, (art) history, political science, cultural management, international relations or business administration) or comparable qualification and/or professional experience in a related subject area
Experience in organisational and/or administrative activities and an independent, reliable and structured manner of working
Interest in the contemporary arts scene in Switzerland, international affairs, and cultural policy related issues
Oral and written communication skills and good written command (C1 level) of German or French and of English. Sound knowledge of a second Swiss national language is an advantage.
